Synopsis
Blackout/Samba is a solo of Marco Regueiro where the archeology of the violence, the hunting and the language is explored. He narrates the expulsion of Lucifer from hell through the figure of a modern hunter. Enraged, he decides to take revenge on God, tending him a trap in which he himself inevitably falls. This piece summarizes his slow, bloody and pitiless descent into the architecture of the Evill.

MARCO REGUEIRO / CIA. LUCIER
Marco Regueiro is artistic director, choreographer and performer of the CIA Lucier, strongly influenced by the video, memory, and the body on stage. He has worked with Sol Picó, Mark Tompkins, and Pep Ramis and others and has been formed with Julyan Hamilton, Frank Van de Ven, Lisa Nelson, etc. With his own company has created five shows so far and two videocreations.
He combines his artistic work with his work as a teacher on workshops in improvisation, composition, writing and video in Spain and Latin America, as well as classes in anatomy, therapy and yoga.
Lucier performing arts company is named after the north american musician Alvin Lucier who experimented with erosion, resonance and hybridization.
LUCIER company was born of the need to join the radically different paths of Marco Regueiro and Eugenia Iglesias,- with the intention of revealing a multiplicity of languages and interpretations of the same -live, unique and unrepeatable experience on stage-, creating theater pieces which exhibit bodies and their actions with crude and subtle multiple facets.
The company bases their research process- in the forms of journeys, explorations, collaborations, physical and aesthetic studies, and diverse therapies.- This research generates texts, perceptions and images, which in turn creates a complementary visual and scenic format.
We internalise our sources of inspiration and rewrite them for the stage; a transposition that often is invisible for the viewer. Peter Handke, Peru and the hunters association of Teverga are starting points not only for physical exploration of their texts, natures or human structures but also a collective creative process where natural and artificial elements feed off each other.
This imaginative archeology finds it's voice through images, communication and the chosen structure of representation, be it text, imagery or theater. In this way the development of the language of Lucier company is articulated in the experiences of its interpreters and collaborators; and public reaction, crossing generations, space and time, producing a strange plasticity in this human encounter .
